A very elegant tea set made especially for Birks Jewellers according to the stamp on the underside of some pieces. The pattern number is F 4847.

Norman Arlett Bird Series Hand painted birds signed by Norman Arlett. Trimmed in gold on the rims and handle. Marked Crown Staffordshire. Two versions were available, the one on the left of the photo dispays a bird with blue feathers on the back and red feathers on its breast while the one on the right displays a bird with blue and green feathers on the back as well as yellow feathers on the breast. Only the set on the left is still available. |

Very striking design of hand-painted plaid on a fluted deco-shaped cup. The handle of the cup is full and painted white which makes this very unusual. The inside of the cup and lighter areas on the cup and saucer is a light yellow. The pattern number is 13240.
